Dance Genres

There are a variety of dance styles offered at this dance studio. These include creative movement, tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, lyrical, and strength and conditioning. Many of these styles of dance can be taken in a program, from leisurely drop-ins to highly competitive programs. The talented staff and instructors will make sure that each class is fun, positive, technical and creative in order to grow the spirit and discipline of dance within each student.

Dance Programs

In order to accommodate each student’s schedule and desires, 4 different programs were developed. You’ll be sure to find the perfect kids dance program for your child with the flexibility offered here. The programs at Creative Edge Dance Studio include the following:

Open / Drop In – For students who are just casually interested in finding out more about dance, or for experienced dancers who are looking to update their skills, this program is the perfect solution. There is no commitment required, and students are free to drop in and take a class or two for recreational purposes.

Recreational Dance - This program is great for those who are interested in participating in a variety of different dance classes on a regular basis, but without the commitment required on a more competitive level. Classes and programs are offered in a casual environment, which is meant to teach technical dance skills and provide fun and enjoyment at the same time.

Street Dance – Classes offered in this program are specific to the hip hop and street dance genre, and are designed to enhance and fine-tune this type of dance technique for those who may be interested in pursuing street dance on a full-time basis.

Competitive Dance – For those who are serious about dance and would like to eventually become full-time professional dancers in the entertainment industry, then the competitive program is the one to choose. Students must first audition for this program, after which serious commitment is expected to excel. Students will participate in a number of competitions every year with this program.
